Hellbound Season 2 Production Begins for Netflix K-Drama

The long-awaited second season of South Korean fantasy thriller Hellbound is now in production, according to Netflix.

Netflix unveiled the creatives working on the show's second season, complete with a video introduction.

The announcement comes more than two years after the first season debuted on the streaming service on September 9, 2021.

Hellbound, directed and written by Yeon Sang-ho based on his webtoon of the same name, concentrates on Earth's parallel reality, in which otherworldly beings emerge unexpectedly and send people to eternal misery.

Following the quick success of Squid Game, the show became Netflix's second blockbuster South Korean series in 2021.

It has been rumored that the hit show's creators would expand on the story established in Season 1.

Furthermore, according to Netflix Korea's official press release, the upcoming season will examine "themes of mortality, sin, and justice with greater scale and depth."

The series launched to tremendous praise, with a Rotten Tomatoes reviewers score of 97% as of this writing.
